The St. Francis Xavier Mission Trip began in 2010 with the intent of providing an opportunity for young people from apostolates of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter to participate in missionary experience. Leaving the familiar surroundings of home and venturing into a different culture with a group of one’s peers provides a unique experience for all involved.
To come face to face with poverty and suffering not only makes us more grateful for the many blessings we have received, but gives a valuable insight to what our Lord meant when he said,
“Blessed are the poor the spirit . . .” It also gives a very real way to put our faith into action.
“What you do for the least of my brethren, you do for me,” our Lord teaches.
